Nora Stole click image to enlarge |
This cashmere-merino stole is offered in two sizes, one for girls and one for women. It is like a large, wide scarf and proves to be a very versatile accessory. Wrap it snugly around your neck in windy weather or drape it gracefully over your shoulders when you’re feeling a little chilly indoors. The lace pattern is worked on alternating right side rows (all wrong side rows are purled) using a worsted weight yarn which makes it an ideal project for a knitter new to lace knitting or to a more advanced knitter who wants a lace design with a minimum of effort.

Superhero Cape click image to enlarge |
Inspired by seeing a little boy in the grocery store wearing his red cape with obvious joy and finding a leftover skein of lurex yarn laying about, this superhero cape zoomed into being. It can also be knit with a mohair yarn in place of the lurex yarn or softer colors and gold lurex yarn for a more gossamer, fairy-style cape. The neck fastens with a Velcro tab. Knit on large needles, it works up very quickly and will make an excellent addition to your store of knitted gift projects. “Up, up and away!”

Agatha Sweaterdress
This lovely, classic knit sweaterdress is a wonderful garment to knit and wear. The V-neck of the bodice and straight line of the skirt are very flattering. And because the bodice is knit first with the skirt being picked up and knit down from the bodice, it’s pleasant to knit as well. It lends itself well to mixing yarns since it requires three strands of lace-weight yarn to be used as one (this provides lots of warmth without bulkiness). Mix two strands of lace-weight wool with one strand of lace-weight mohair or other textured yarn for a really luxurious garment. If you’ve always wanted to live in your sweaters, here’s your chance! Sizes are given for Small, Medium, and Large with special directions for Petite and Tall sizes.

Emmadora Stole
This stole’s great qualities are almost too numerous to name! The finest of cashmere yarns combined with a simple, yet elegant, lace pattern produce a garment that is warm, lovely, feminine, and unique. Perfect for travel, it will keep your shoulders warm during a chilly flight and then add that finishing touch to your evening attire. The hand-knotted fringe at each end is easy to work and adds to your textile know-how. Pictured in black cashmere, it could be knit in a lighter-colored yarn for Spring or Summer.

This hat is a great guy or girl, sunny or rainy, dress up or down hat for all occasions. I like to knit these up when I’m between projects or need a small and portable project. I give some to my local homeless shelter and the rest to friends and family. Knit in a softer fiber like silk or rayon it makes a great chemotherapy or sleep hat. This hat also lends itself beautifully to embellishments like a felted flower, old vintage brooch, or a grosgrain bow on one side. Sizes: Regular (fits most adults as well as children about 6 years and up) and Large (just a little bigger than Regular).

The faint metallic threads in this classic jacket-styled sweater add a hint of understated glamour to an everyday wardrobe staple. Layered over tshirts and jeans or silk camisoles and tweed skirts, it goes happily from the park to the office and everywhere in-between. The fit is close, but not too snug. The three-quarter length sleeves make it versatile from winter to summer.
